Dr. Sprayberry has been passionate about animals, science, and veterinary medicine since childhood. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University and Schreyer Honors College in 2018 with a degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences. In 2019, she published her first paper on the relationship between stress and cell-mediated immunity in an ecological model based on her undergraduate research. She attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2022. Since graduation, she has been practicing emergency medicine at a busy 24/7 emergency/specialty hospital. She has developed a passion for helping clients engage with their animals and their health, and has a special interest in clinical pathology, infectious disease, and respiratory disease. After losing her beloved Golden Retriever Allie in 2023, she has become passionate about helping pets and their families with end-of-life/palliative and geriatric care.
She is a recent resident of Delaware and lives with her two former-feral orange cats: Marcus Aurelius (an FIV positive, asthmatic, toothless kitty) and Julius Caesar (a professional chaos gremlin). In her off-time, she enjoys reading (science fiction and fantasy), playing video games and tabletop RPGs, learning about history, and trying new foods from around the world!
